I tried many different docks to find one that supports dual HDMI monitors and can power my Surface Pro 7 so I don't need a separate power plug. The one that worked great with my Lenovo laptop and several other docks, I tried charging the Surface for a few minutes and then stopped (dual HDMI still worked). I've tried increasing the power of the USB-C power adapter to 100W but still no luck. So that solved my problem and I'm glad to have the same laptop docking and undocking connector again. The construction feels solid and weighs more than others. I did my best. Doesn't get very hot.
