My pup and husband love this item! Bought as a cradle for a puppy to keep her off the ground especially when we go on a winter hike in 20 degree weather. After a year of use I can say it has held up EXTREMELY well and both my dog and husband (this thing can hold up to 250lbs!) have used it to sit by the fire to keep warm. My husband often uses it as a stool when our pup is not using it. Sitting and cutting wood, cooking, hiding under a tarp during a downpour, and it has withstood his abuse better than I could have imagined. What a great benefit that I never expected! It has withstood all weather and camping conditions almost every weekend and last year. From rain to snow to sand and heavy mud, this item has never let us down and holds up well in the washing machine for a gentle/hand wash. I can also say that it is amazingly fireproof. Sometime after we went to bed one night, a large ember jumped about 7 feet from the fire and landed on the bed. He choked and didn't even burn a hole! If somehow a natural disaster destroyed it because it looks like the right thing, I'd buy a new one in a heartbeat. And I highly recommend it if you are looking for a portable dog bed to add one to your life.
