Wanted to like it. simply poorly made

At first it seemed perfect - then with use it started to fall apart. The elastic popped out, the covers started to separate. I was very easy going with the notebook - took careful care of it. but still just not as well made as I was hoping.

Pros
  • PREMIUM QUALITY: Thick 120 gsm paper ensures that your writing notes or drawings won't bleed through the page. 180° lay flat capability for ease of use. This notebook set includes two bound books.
Cons
  • The cover design may not appeal to everyone's personal style or aesthetic

perforations and weak elastic band reduce quality

Overall not a terrible notebook, works reasonably well with a cheap fountain pen and the paper weight is enough to minimize bleeding. paper quality is comparable to other more expensive brands.Reduction in stars: perforated sheets for easy tear out, may be good for some / not for me & while not a big deal, i personally will just stay away from this feature. the elastic band is no good / light pulling ripped it out.* if you want the tear out feature and dont mind the elastic band breaking on the

Pros
  • The paper used in the notebook is of high-quality archival standards, making it perfect for longevity
Cons
  • The journal may not have a designated area for recording important dates or reminders

Wonderful paper quality, new favorite journals

Paper is beautiful and thick. Papermate flair pens (felt tip) do not bleed through and write very smoothly due to smooth surface. Cover is durable, hasn't peeled/curled or even shown wear - I carry this everywhere at work and tote it around in a full backpack when its not in use. M previous go-to was Moleskine, but those get beat up s o quickly and the paper is too thin for flair felt tip pens.I did have to glue the ribbon bookmark back into the spine (there are 2 which is awesome for keeping…

Pros
  • The journal notebook is lightweight, easy to handle and carry, and perfect for on-the-go writers
Cons
  • The journal may not have a title page for labeling the notebook

I didn’t have time for a return so I gave the gift of the planner. Not exactly what was wanted but nice material. I was originally asked for a personal journal. It worked out.

Pros
  • The notebook is perfect for creatives such as poets, artists, and musicians, who want to document their artistic evolution
Cons
  • The journal may not have a separate section or pocket for keeping loose notes or business cards

What a Shame. good for me

I was so excited to for these journals. Finding a quality journal that's college-ruled with perforated pages at a reasonable price is no easy feat. But the chemical smell is so noxious, even after airing them out, that I had to return them. It's such a shame, because this otherwise could have been a five-star purchase. To be fair, I'm very sensitive to smells, and based on many other reviews, it's probably not a problem for most people. But if you have sensory issues, this may not be the best…

Pros
  • The notebook is excellent for reflection, introspection, and self-discovery
Cons
  • The binding may be too tight, making it hard to write in certain areas of the journal

Pretty good in my review

Pretty decent books. The strap that goes around the books are a joke they fell off within the first hour but that isn’t a dealbreaker. Easy to tear pages out, thick good quality pages. The cover does have some kind of plastic odor again not a deal breaker just be aware.

Pros
  • The sleek and stylish design of the journal notebook makes it perfect for use in various settings, including work, travel, and college
Cons
  • The binding may make it difficult to add or remove pages from the journal

Great notebook - but, book strap does not last

A great little notebook and cheap. I had it for 1 quarter for work notes of 2022. The book strap broke in 5 weeks. I kept the book as I had so many notes in it already, but it was annoying.I decided to try again in 2023 thinking it was a fluke - this strap (see pics) lasted 1 hour. Literally.Clearly, there is a bad batch or the glue does not last over time. Cannot fix without ripping out the back pocket. Will be returning. If you don't care about the book strap go for it. I carry too many loose

Pros
  • The notebook is perfect for busy individuals who want to keep their ideas and thoughts organized
Cons
  • The journal may not have a table of contents, making it hard to find specific entries

Good Journal in my review

This is a good journal , a little smaller than I usually get but it works. The 0ages are perforated and this is good if you want to tear out pages. I don't and being left handed the perforations rub against my writing hand.

Pros
  • Students love these
Cons
  • The binding on the journal may come apart or fall apart after consistent use

Cheap materials: my feedback

Not what I expected it to be. I ordered so I could decorate the outsides and give as gifts. One of the elastic closures pulled right out of the backing. Most of the covers had bends or folds around the edges. Sort of cheap and not a nice quality.

Pros
  • It is an essential writing accessory for anyone who wants to capture their creativity on paper
Cons
  • The journal may not be suitable for those who prefer dot grid paper over lined paper

Great but not durable

Great value for the money. But I've opened the journal once and the elastic band has come unglued already. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • The notebook allows you to document your journey, making it a precious keepsake to be passed down from generation to generation
Cons
  • The journal may not have enough space for doodles or sketches

Decent notepad good for me

Overall it feels sturdy and the weight is nice. Elastic ripped off as soon as I tried to open it. I don't want to deal with a return or exchange at this point but you get what you pay for. Decent notepad.

Pros
  • It's a great way to capture your imaginations and inspirations, making writing come alive
Cons
  • The journal may not have enough horizontal space for wider drawings or sketches

Nice paper, be careful of the perforation

The notebook is really flexible and it's easy to write in. I dislike how easily the paper wants to tear through the perforations but it's very good if that's a need of yours

Pros
  • ON THE GO COMPANION: At 8.25"x5.65", this notebook journal fits in every bag, making it perfect as a work notebook, travel or teacher notebook, or as a personal writing journal.
Cons
  • The journal may not have a ribbon bookmark, making it hard to keep track of where you left off

Good Quality; Would Recommend as a Starter Pack

I haven't had the chance to use these yet as I'm working through some other journals first, but the quality of these (for the most part) seems to be fine for not being made of leather or moleskin. One of the elastic straps that keeps the journal together has broken apart after having kept it in a desk drawer for a couple months. We'll see how long these journals last once I get around to using them.

Pros
  • The journal notebook features a smooth texture that is gentle on your hand, promoting comfort while writing
Cons
  • The journal may be too heavy to carry around for extended periods of time

Used to be quality about a year ago

I bought these same notebooks about a year ago and used them regularly. The strap stayed on, i could fold it back, and it lasted until it was full cover to cover. I’ve had these maybe two weeks and the strap fell off on the first day (which i used every day to hold my pen in the book) and the cover is lifting from the front page and eventually got bent in my backpack. I’m bummed because i was excited for a new one and the quality just isn’t there anymore.

Pros
  • The Papercode Lined Journal Notebook is a top-quality writing companion that offers an indulgent writing experience
Cons
  • The journal may not have an elastic band to keep it closed when not in use

Wrote 3 pages and elastic broke

I got these because they were inexpensive but nice looking. I’ve lost too many journals. The first night I use one, the closing elastic totally broke loose. I have no idea what to do with it but I know this is one of the biggest wastes of money in a while. Very sad since I was loving them. I even tried triple knotting it and it just rips through. I will be using these as kindling.

Pros
  • It makes for a great diary, where you can pen down your innermost thoughts and feelings, thus enhancing your wellbeing
Cons
  • The journal may not have a lined or ruled margin for those who prefer added structure

Flimsy, fabric strap comes undone, but pages are nice

Update 6/13/2019:Company sent replacements free of charge (as any company should for defective products). The new ones are the same but the problem with the elastic straps has been fixed. Gladly update to a 4 star for their response/timely replacements.Wow, these are made terribly.I like the cover, the perforated pages, the lines, and the fact that it lays flat. But, as soon as I pulled the fabric strap off it came undone from the back bottom cover. exactly as others have said. So I thought…

Pros
  • It's an excellent way to track your progress, set goals, and evaluate how far you've come in writing
Cons
  • The cover may not be water-resistant, making it susceptible to damage if it gets wet
