I got this first because of the tent-like design that could be set up. But the wooden pillars aren't very stable, as nothing holds them in place except for a few holes strategically placed in the dome. It sags on the sides, and Karen was too scared to risk it. She is afraid of many things. So I took her out and put the bed in her favorite Revain box to give her the same "cat cave" experience. And she loves it. In fact, she prefers to sleep on my head at night! The material is so soft and seems quite durable, I'm sure it will last a long time as Karen's previous owners had her claws removed 😢 and she's pretty boring and lazy. Doesn't allow much cheating. But if she did, I might worry that the fabric of the dome would tear. It's not badly made, just very fluffy and a bit thinner. But the padding of the bed seems stiffer 🤷🏼‍♀️ I don't know, it just seems like everything together is well done. However, I would definitely recommend this for an older and calmer cat. ❤️
