I love this Helping Hands add-on for my PanaVise. I've had a PanaVise for about 30 years and have found it indispensable, but it was a little difficult to use with a small handheld device that sat low on the tabletop. I wanted another addition to my P-Vise with screw-in positioning arms, but it wasn't in stock when I was ready to buy it. I'm glad it does because it gave me time to look around and find this version with magnetic mounts that allow me a lot more flexibility in positioning my hands. The wide plate keeps the P-Vise head from falling off as shown in the picture, but I can live with that given more flexibility in hand placement. This company offers another version of this with a smaller base that has "ears" for attaching arms if base width is an issue. The base comes with nuts and bolts to attach rubber footed P-vises directly to the plate to protect the work surface and nut space. This would preclude using an existing P-Vise base. I preferred to keep the current base and install the slab on it. To do this I had to buy longer pan head screws. Neither the existing bolts nor those supplied with the QuadHands were long enough. Three 1/4-20 x 1 inch flat heads did the trick. I look forward to using this arrangement to ease my hobby life for the featured project and many others. It is very convenient to have long and infinitely adjustable arms that go up to the level of the PanaVise clamps. I also like the rubber tube pads that prevent clipping from alligator clips and tooth marks on held objects. be able to pull them down to lock them in place? Yes! Well thought out design.
