The "normal" pillows are too thick and I don't feel comfortable sleeping on them. I tried sleeping without a pillow but found myself putting my arm under my head for support. I've also tried pillow rolls but always wake up with a stiff neck. This pillow is the perfect height that I can comfortably sleep on my neck, back and/or side without waking up with sore muscles. I've been using it for 2 weeks and so far I'm loving it!
