Small, compact, cheap and dynamic.

I got this light about a week ago. I've moved on to using LED lighting far more than just using bulbs like the AD200. I've found that LED lighting offers a lot more creativity and control. I have 4 flat led lights and two sticks that I use most of the time but I need something extra to tie it all together. When I saw the flashlight's small, round shape and the ability to attach it to a camera, I was amazed. I didn't expect it to be anywhere near as strong as it is for its size. The variety in Scene mode got me thinking about using it as a key light for settings rather than a heavy accent light. I think my favorite scene mode is probably the lightbulb. It's perfect for my October scary shoot. It has one major benefit that my other LED lights don't have and that is the ability to program some of your own scenes. It's dynamic enough that you can actually shape its usefulness around your concept, rather than just making something work. The battery life was very impressive. On my last shoot both of my poles died from use while this guy just kept going with no problems. In my video review you can see how the light itself wobbles a little and doesn't pause for a second. The package comes with some mounting options for your desk to keep it close. I put it on a tripod but kept turning it back and forth to show the scenes. Overall I am very happy with my purchase. I doubt I will ever buy an LED flat screen again. I see that the person making the most of this light is the video shooter or event photographer who wants more than just a flash on camera. It definitely gives you the opportunity to get creative and still be mobile. I should also mention that despite the light weight, it doesn't feel cheap. Some of my other lighting fixtures sometimes sacrifice strength for weight. I've used it on 3 shoots and just tossed it in my light bag without worrying about being gentle with it. I would 100% prefer it to the ring light. You won't get weird alien eyes with it.
