Great for short jumpers
I got this on the recommendation of Mr. BBI and happy with the stuff. I won't use it on long runs since its loss is over twice that of LMR-400 at 30MHz. But for jumpers, I love it. I run around 1.8KW PEP through it and DX Engineering claims 2.75KW power handling for their jumpers using this cable. Your UG-176 reducer (for RG-8X) will be loose, but a length of heat shrink tubing builds the diameter adequately and gives a nice pro look. UG-175 is the correct reducer for this cable though.
- Good product. It does what is supposed to do. Good quality.
- Potential Interference: While the double shielding of this cable is designed to reduce interference, there is still a risk of signal loss and degradation over long distances or in areas with high levels of electromagnetic activity
