I used to buy more expensive ceramic scissors from Kyocera, which cost a little more. These were excellent shears and I mainly used them for fishing. They're ceramic with a stainless steel retaining pin and plastic handles, meaning they won't rust. This makes them perfect for salt water and they cut through braids like butter. I've noticed that these cheaper scissors aren't as sharp. I used them on a fishing trip and dropped them less than 2ft (my fault) and they broke in two making them unusable. I won't return them because it was my fault but my review is mostly on quality not breakage. If you don't have the money for a pair of Kyocera scissors, they will do, but they aren't as sharp.
