I bought this model specifically because I needed a very tall stand. Most stands are not high enough to put my laptop at eye level. This keeps my laptop at the perfect height and still close enough to my face. This is a very strong stand and it takes a lot of strength to move it. I don't mind it and I think it's about strength, but I see it can be a problem for others. It works great with my 2015 MacBook Pro. You must place the external keyboard on the bottom edge of the stand. Because the stand is so smooth, the keyboard sometimes slips off. It would be nice if there was a rubber or silicone strip on the flat part of the stand so that the keyboard doesn't slip. The portability of the stand is not very good. This is definitely a stand made to be placed on a table and stay there. While it's foldable, even fully folded, not all layers lie flat - there's a good inch of space between some layers. I thought it would be something to take with me when I take my laptop with me and unfortunately it's not. I really wish there was a picture of the stand folded at an angle on the side so buyers can get a better idea before purchasing. Overall, this is a really solid stand that does what it says on the tin. I am satisfied with my purchase, but I would like the company to consider my ideas for improvement. It's a bit pricey and I put up with it to pay for a higher stand, but I wish there were more options on the market with a wider price range. Hope that helps!
