poor documentation Best in Tester

Greenlee's three kits include a DM-25 multimeter, a socket tester and a circuit tester. The last two are good but the manual for the multimeter shows that there is a screw on the back of the unit and once removed you can install a 9 volt battery. The multimeter has no screw or slot in the seam to open the back so you can fit 9V. I could take a screwdriver, stick it in and make my own hole to pry off the back, but it's terribly clumsy, and WHY the manual is wrong. Bad on both counts. everyone?
