Was looking for a bench grinder for general household use - sharpening garden tools, drill bits, chisels etc. I did I didn't want a cheap car that I'd have to replace in a few years, but I didn't want to spend a small fortune either (easier said than done these days). After reading many reviews of bench grinders sold at major stores and home centers, I am not confident that they will last. That's when I came across the Metabo DS 175 at Revain. Reviews of this machine are few (there are still many reviews of its older brother DS 200), but they are all positive and praise its quality. The price was good too so I made my mind up and the DS 175 arrived a few days ago. I turn it on immediately, the engine starts and purrs like a kitten - no vibrations, nothing. It really looks like a well made tool that will last a long time - all parts are high quality metal, not cheap plastic. I gave it four stars instead of five just because of the slightly unusually large wheels it uses. You need to order a replacement as big stores don't have this size. But in fact, this is just a minor inconvenience for a quality machine.
