Great specs, terrible speaker.

I really wanted this column to be liked. But I do not know. And therefore. At first impression I was quite satisfied. It comes with an adapter for guitar amp connection, it comes with an extra cable, a charger and everything is almost perfect. The build quality is fantastic, it's heavy and feels very solid. I suspect most of the weight comes from the battery considering the sound quality, but I'll get to that later. It has some great features, namely the obvious Bluetooth, AUX and doubling as an external battery. But it also has a pretty decent FM tuner, a USB playback mode, and a guitar/mic mode that plays over music. It's a fantastic set of features that I really like. Unfortunately, even considering the size, weight and power of this speaker, the sound sounds terrible. I have a smaller and lighter 30w speaker that sounds way better than this one. He just doesn't have the energy. While the rear looks like a grille, it's actually solid, with the only speakers being two 3-inch speakers on the front. These two "full-range" loudspeakers are each supplemented by a trumpet. t there. Of course there is SOME bass, but these drivers just don't deliver anything below 125Hz. I literally lowered these bands to -10 on the EQ and nothing changed. Do not get me wrong. , it gets loud, but there's just no energy, even at low volumes, due to that lack of deep bass, kick drums don't cut through (even on old acoustic rock and country) and any deep bass is complete If you're someone planning to using it as a mic amp or even a small amp for guitar or violin it can work great. But as a speaker it sounds terrible. At this price point, you'll be much, much better off with the Sony SRS X55 or the Turcom Acoustoshock, albeit with slightly fewer features. The performance and sound quality just isn't there. do not buy this item. Save money and buy JBL Xtreme or Boombox or similar. Monster just didn't put any effort into developing it, it looks like they just put some crap together and hoped for the best. Sometimes it works - not this time.
