Review on πŸ’¦ Enhanced Water Pressure Regulation with Gauge and Screened Filter for RVs and Trailers by Kenny Shaver

Gauge Short Life

I recently purchased this gauge and used it on a 4000 mile trip that took about 4 weeks. I've used it in temperatures from 72 degrees Fahrenheit to -2 degrees Fahrenheit. I found the ability to adjust the pressure up and down was very limited from day one. Just let it adjust from low about 30psi to high about 40psi. It was good enough for my needs, but my RV says the piping is 55psi safe and I would set it higher if the gauge allows, but no dice, 40psi max with this thing. For sub-zero temperatures I used heated tubing and insulated the gauge and fitting with an insulating sleeve. During this cold camping the sensor failed. Based on my water flow estimates, I believe the regulator was still working fine (40psi), but the gauge was now consistently at 80psi even when not connected to the hose, now it's stuck at 80 pounds per square inch. whether under pressure or not). My general impression is that the regulator itself is sturdy and fairly well made, but the features of this unit (the ability to regulate pressure and a pressure gauge to see pressure) are cheap, poor quality parts that come with little stress to fail. I'll try a different caliber next time.
