My son chose it and was very happy about it. When they got there he was gone so I looked around a bit. I'm a little confused to begin with. The order on Amazon says GIRLS SHOES, the description says BOYS SHOES, what is that? Also, the first thing I noticed was that they were obviously dirty in my first one, even though someone tried them on or something. Lots of loose threads. I'm worried that they will fall apart in a few weeks (especially since a recent review mentioned this exact issue). My son usually wears an 11, they don't have a 12 so we made a 12.5 expecting it might fit a bit more for the summer. They rest on his big toe, so definitely smaller. I did not testify that others experienced this or just us. However, he is so smitten with them that he doesn't want me to send them back for a larger size. We give them a few weeks to a month to try it out and then try to upgrade. At the moment I give them an average rating of 3 stars
