I had the power supply from the tattoo kit which was intermittent and sometimes erratic. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a new one until the guy who trained me told me he uses this device (originally sold by a brand called TattooStar but they were no longer available from Revain; it's the same). ) and I was amazed at how much better my tattooing experience has become. My machine can finally run stably at a lower voltage and I love that I can keep both machines plugged in at the same time if I ever need to go back to something and I can literally do it with the push of a button. The clamp cords are a bit fiddly, but still work. The only thing I can complain about is that the cable that plugs into the back of the unit to connect it to the wall is difficult to assemble. It's very shaky and I had to somehow make sure my car didn't move where I put it or I would have lost connection completely. This cable that comes with the kit is almost useless. Luckily the cable from my old car fits in much better, so I'll use that instead.
