Honestly, I don't have curly or thick hair. I have fine/thin/straight hair. I live in Colorado and struggle with unruly hair and static electricity in my hair due to the extreme dryness caused by the climate here. I applied a very small amount to the bottom half of my hair and I had very oily hair that didn't look good at all. On the contrary, it works wonders for my two boys who are mixed with very thick and curly hair. However, my favorite product is the LUS brand. It works wonders for both my hair type and my boys (and it's designed for curly/curly hair but doesn't leave a greasy shine or weigh it down)
