Despite the many negative reviews I decided to risk this lamp. I have two 8.5" x 11" documents mounted on 10.5" x 13" plates. Each of them is hand-signed by Kurt Vonnegut. I needed 2 small lamps to light up the signs which are only 10.5 inches wide. I first bought a lamp. It worked so well I ordered a second one. The first arrived in 2 days, the second in one day! These lamps are perfect for my purposes. I have performance tested these bulbs and they work great! I'm a Happy Vonnegut Nut! Just ordered some more Vonnegut memorabilia so I might collect more. Not correct! They use 3xAA.
