I received this product a few days ago and have tested it. It feels very light and the build quality is okay but not particularly solid. Controlling the light is very simple - you turn it on (there is a hard switch and a soft switch), set the timer and you're done. It will beep for 1 minute to give you time to leave the room before the lamp turns on. The light looks ok to me, but I haven't used it long enough to judge its effectiveness. I use it to sanitize my basement and home theater, both of which are quite large and moldy. I will report on the effectiveness in a few weeks. The remote control is also easy to use, using the same buttons as on the unit itself. The remote range is only about 10-15 feet, so I can't control it from the top floor while the unit is in the basement. Also, the remote doesn't use AA or AAA batteries, it uses a not-so-popular small battery, which confuses me. In general, everything works fine so far. I'll find out in a few weeks whether it actually disinfects rooms as advertised.
