It seems pretty easy to install hubs. Came with everything you need. I read other reviews from 2019 that said they needed washers and other things. We have found that this is not true. Perhaps the manufacturer noticed this in the reviews and corrected the situation. In terms of performance, we noticed an IMMEDIATE difference in our extremely rusty water at our seasonal campsite. Before use, our porcelain toilet had permanent rust stains. I had to use the Whik (see attached picture) in the toilet several times over the weekend. Literally a few hours after removing the rust strips, they reappeared. After 2 days of using the fabric softener, the rust stains are gone. We also noticed a big difference when showering, we have to use less soap. It's the same with dishes.
