. I put a heating pad on her at night but don't want to leave it on during the day when I'm at work because of the risk of fire. It takes a little time to fully warm up, but she loves it. It had a sticker on it that said test it by placing a pillow on it for 20 minutes. I did just that and it was nice and hot and warm. I put it on her and she stood there for a while, then she dropped and curled up, purring happily. It says it's electrostatic control; I couldn't find any information on what that means. It has no controls; You turn it on and it heats up; When busy, it will get a little warm. I haven't measured it, but it's slightly warmer than body temperature, so I can trust the quoted 102 degrees. Now she spends a lot of time on it. (Update 10/19/15) Still going, she still loves it. She is sleeping and snoring now. sounds like a smurf with a chainsaw. The only complaint I have about it is that it can use a non-slip bottom. I left him in her place on the bed and he fell off the bed twice when she turned over. (Updated on 04/08/2016) Still works.
