This product is great for things like yoga, body weight exercises, etc. On the other hand it is TERRIBLE for LIFTING WEIGHTS.If you’re going to be doing any squatting, deadlifting or benching DO NOT BUY THIS.My set up:-Mats all connected in concrete garage-Half power rack-Adjustable weight benchPros:-Soft, good cushion from concrete when doing sit ups/push ups/burpeesCons:-Cheap dollar store foam material-NOT durable already ripping after one month-NOT durable already can’t connect certain areas due to stretching of the material-NOT safe, material stretches and can be a little slipperyIf you lift weights you know you drive your feet into the ground and sometimes outwards (squat/bench). This mat actually moves and I have the power rack anchoring it down. This means that the mat is anchored but my outward push is enough to stretch the mats not in contact with the rack.I’ve noticed while benchpressing my feet constantly slide out. While squatting I also feel a little outward shift. Worst of all this May is so soft doesn’t allow proper drive. Please if you are buying this for a home weight gym just DONT. Go spend a little more and get the rubber mat.
