Runs small, size 7 (I think size 6-8 was his choice) for my 6 year old, very fit until washing. It's a muslin-like material and I'm sure it will shrink with washing. Also, because it's skin tight, we have to wear a white t-shirt underneath so you can't see your flesh when the buttons come undone (think of the women's problem with button-down shirts). There wasn't enough detail on the sizes and other reviews. I would definitely go up the size one. It's mainly intended for one-time wear, so it will be fine, but I'm disappointed that it's not wearing out further.
