My son is 12 years old, 5ft 1in, 128 pounds. I bought it in size XL, which according to the size chart corresponds to a size 18-20 and is suitable for children from 13-14 years. My son usually wears youth tops in sizes L to XL. This shirt is a bit tight for him and that's how it should fit, but it feels a bit short in the upper body. If your child has a short side like me, it comes down to the waist. The tightness of the shirt made it difficult for him to put it on and take it off, but that was to be expected. I bought this for his Halloween costume (he was Drift from Fortnite). This shirt fit my son's arms and torso, like Drift's shirt, they fit very snugly. It was only 25 degrees and it was semi-raining that night here in northeastern Indiana, so we needed something to keep my son warm without ruining his suit. This shirt fit. the only way. The only thing that kept the cold off were his fingers, thanks to his fingerless gloves. His chest and arms stayed fried! He was also initially concerned because he had asthma, which only showed up last year when he started having a bad cough. I took his winter coat with me just in case, but he didn't even need it! All he needed were his other gloves! All in all this is a great shirt that all kids who live where it's cold during the fall and winter should have to keep their chest warm and keep colds away!
