It's official: I really like these shoes. I'm an old school girl who still lives on in classics like Chucks, Docs and Vans, so this simple throwback style suits me. I usually wear Vans loafers all the time, but I ended up getting them in a cream version with a blue trim. So adorable. They definitely remind me of sneakers, but with a thicker sole and less arch support. The canvas is a bit flimsy in my opinion, so if I wiggle my toes I can see them pushing out the material (that's what makes the cup sock so great on Converse - you avoid that problem entirely!). I do feel the slip on fabric could be a bit thicker as I've never noticed this problem with them, but it only makes a big difference if you have choppy toes or long toenails (yes). I sprayed mine with stain repellent as my darker jeans tend to get ink on my shoes at times and they still look great after a few weeks of wear. I usually wear a women's size 10 and ordered a unisex size 8.5 instead of the 8 suggested by Revain. I think they fit perfectly and I'm glad I'm my normal size. These Vans are just a casual pair of shoes that never go out of style, so I highly recommend them.
