I need a portrait mode monitor next to the main display of my 27" iMac. I've tried several highly rated monitors but they often look dull and washed out next to an iMac. This is the only one I've tried that does it just as well or looks even better than the built-in display. The matte finish gives it a different look that's perfect for text (and looks great for everything else too, but doesn't have the "deep" shine effect.) The iMac display has a physical Layer with a noticeable purple tint, yet the display appears very neutral. It also seems to have deeper blacks and brighter oranges. I am very, very happy with it. You must use DisplayPort to run it on an Intel Mac at 60Hz ( this is an issue with a recent Mac OS update, not the display). It's not for gaming. Don't buy it for gaming. Why did you buy this for gaming?
