The material attracts lint so instead of wiping it down I soap, sponge, rinse, let dry. or simply pour water on, shake and drain. I am very happy with this purchase. I have not left them in the sun and have no intention of doing so. It's elastic rubber and I'm sure this will affect its lifespan. I know there are many clones of this design from different brands. this one itself is probably a clone, I don't know. nevertheless it is a great product. has a washable initial odor.
