Review on Outdoor Research Highcamp Gloves Black by Rob Rogers

Revainrating 2 out of 5

It's a worthwhile investment - road tested in real winter conditions

Used on mid-winter hikes in the US Four Corners, including traction with chains at Angel Landing in Zion National Park and one Temperature of 16°F in Canyonlands NP. These gloves are a real find. Keeps me warm, comfortable and insulated when I'm outside most of the day. I had to take off the lining mitts as they didn't fit properly (too small); but once I took them off they fit like a charm. I also like the easy drawstrings that you can attach to literally anything in your backpack. At this price it was kind of an investment, but having tested it in real conditions I would definitely recommend it, at least for low temperatures. I would also recommend throwing hand warmers in a glove (enough room for the warmer and your hands once the liner is removed) to keep them nice and toasty all day.

Pros
  • Gloves and Mittens
Cons
  • Weak Kit
