I bought this as a temporary home for my 2 mini Holland rabbits. I recently bought them an outside cage, but the summer months here in North Carolina are too hot for them. I needed a covered "house" for her. I've used slatted frames similar to this one, but the floor in this configuration has always been a problem. In addition, rabbit fur was always wrapped in rods and was difficult to clean. This seemed to solve those problems. My rabbits seem to like it a lot too. It was very easy to assemble. It even comes with a tiny hammer that I kept and have already used on a few other things. It has room for both rabbits as well as ample space for a litter box, food and water. (And while they're called "mini lops," they're not that small. One is about the size of my little cat.) Both bunnies can lie down and jump, and stand on their hind legs. (All of these are EXTREMELY important for rabbits.) I love that I can take off a side panel and let them out to play, but they can hop back into the litter box on their own to get food/water. I didn't use the included zip ties so they can be taken apart if needed. Holds up very well without them, but if you're planning on making it a more permanent structure I'd suggest using zip ties. These plates are very easy to clean. I just use a vacuum to pick up the pellets and rabbit hair and I can quickly wipe them away. My rabbits "digged" in the floor panels from time to time and it didn't seem to do them any harm. However, time will tell. There are two things I don't like, but neither of which will stop me from buying again because they're easy to fix. 1. Gaps between parts of the floor drop things on my floor so I have to clean underneath which means I have to move it. My space is a bit cramped for that. I'll probably use puppy mats or lay out scraps of rug to make sure my floor is protected. Second, I can't hang a traditional water bottle on the side. I know they make the ones that hang down the sides, not the ones that cling to the cage wire, so I'll have to get one of those. At the moment I use a water bowl which they handle but occasionally spills. It's not a big deal since the panels are plastic, but if they shed enough, the water will seep through a crack in the floor. However, it is much better than wired panels. I highly recommend this for house rabbits or similar small pets. worth your money. I wish I had found this sooner. I have no idea how much I spent to find the perfect place to stay for these guys.
