Doesn't reliably remove fluoride or dissolved solids

Water filter very slow which would be good and worth the time if the jug really worked as advertised. I bought this primarily to filter fluoride out of the water before distillation. Since then I've read several reviews from people who actually tested the water for fluoride removal and found it was NOT removed. I ran a TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) test. I tested the tap water and then ran it through an Aquagear filter. AFTER the filtration, there was actually a little more TDS in the water. If the filter doesn't remove at least a percentage of the particles, then I'm inclined to believe the comments about not removing the fluoride are correct. This is a very expensive plastic jug and poorly designed as you can read in many of the comments. Replacement filters are also very expensive. I decided to cut my losses and threw away the filter and cup. Now I have a very expensive plastic jug that I don't really need. I will most likely throw it away soon because every time I see it I go insane.
