It works and costs $$ for 5 decent replacement tips. I installed all 5 and uploaded them to my Hakko FX-888D. I've also tried them on an inexpensive 937D+ and I'd say they have more thermal mass than the standard Hakko T18 tip. They take a few seconds longer to reach operating temperature, but after that they hold heat quite well. Shorter tinned tip compared to OEM Hakko but very comfortable. All 5 tips are the most popular. 2 chisels, conical, conical and knife. Should be enough for every hobbyist.
