Review on ๐Ÿ”ฉ DT Swiss 2.0 Brass Nipple Spoke - 100 Pack by Robert Oner

Revainrating 2 out of 5

SAPIM spoke nipples are not as good but cost a third of the price.

Like many people, with the right spoke wrench you can round the flat surfaces of your nipples. You need solid knitting needles! These nipples don't hold their flats long enough to tighten the spokes. This is due to the physics and good durability of the impeller. You need tight spokes or your bike wheel sucks. Halfway through tightening the spokes I had to switch to a screwdriver in the spoke head. The planes curled up and the black coating on my nipples disappeared! I have used SAIPIM nipples in the past and they have worked great. I had no problem using the flat areas on the nipples to get the tightness I wanted. Of course, Sapim polyaxial nipples also cost 3 times as much. Nothing to complain about Sapim nipples. You have met my expectations. The flats did not roll over and the black trim was not damaged.
