First of all. I really don't think it's real leather. Rather, they appear to be made of thinly bonded leather or some other alternative to leather. At the same time, they are extremely comfortable and easy to put on and take off. I use them primarily as slippers for commuting to and from work as well as the occasional trip to the backyard with my dog for his evening and morning walks. They are extremely light and the soles are very thin which leads me to believe they may not have the same durability as well constructed leather shoes when worn in harsher environments. In any case, for the money I find them quite suitable as comfortable transitional slippers. I think I will.
