Appears to be the same classic summer baby diapers we used on our first baby. I was looking for a new kit for #2 and was so happy to find a more modern kit design. The comparison shows that they are identical in size, weight etc. to the old summer baby blankets we have. They wash off very gently without losing color. Most importantly, these are SUCH diapers that are right for our family. We love the tight velcro closure for our super wavy babies and the ability to access the diapers without wrapping your hands (if you plan to do this, definitely use sleepers with snaps instead of zippers!)
