I bought this 3.5mm 4 pin extension cable as a detachable cable to connect my headset to my Xbox One controller. The extension cord lasted about eight months with moderate use, but is now unusable or broken due to the 180 degree post cutout that offers audio on the right channel. As a result, there is no longer a right channel unless the connector is rotated a full 180 degrees. This cable hasn't been plugged in or unplugged that often, and it has never been aggressively disconnected due to a disconnect. The damage shown in the image shown was simply the result of wear and tear from the intended use of the cable: the connector was rotated during normal playback.
