Although you can use your phone more time for non-phone related things (music, video, etc.), this bluetooth headset seems to have a phone function. It's an attractive, business-like design with all the standard features you would expect on board. I can't talk about using it with an Android device as it's connected to my iPhone 7 Plus which is currently running iOS 11.2.2. The pairing process itself was quick and easy. The headset is comfortable. Well, as comfortable as an on-ear headset can be on my increasingly balding head! The lining on my ear is very soft and comfortable. The incoming audio is excellent. I had no problem hearing callers when my colleagues were talking in the background or when music was playing a few feet away from my Echo Dot. Most importantly, I've been told that my outgoing audio is fine! This headset might not be for you if you're playing media, but as a phone call headset, it does the job perfectly. Given the low price, this is not a problem!
