I recently went on a week long hike and most of my belts were "smarter" so I figured it would be better not to take them with me. I made the choice and was very impressed. It's solid, durable and doesn't lose grip. If I had one criticism at all, it would be that when you close it, be careful to push the buckle towards you, otherwise it kind of pulls and ends up sticking out of you a bit instead of laying on top of your pants. I won't lower my score because you can prevent it and it's probably just something I did wrong. I haven't had it since then either. Overall, this is a great durable harness for outdoor activities.
