A little wider and a little lighter blue than I was hoping for but it keeps my pants right where they should. I had to cut it a bit shorter and then just burn it with a lighter to keep it from crumbling, no problems since. Good belt for the money.

I couldn't find the width of this belt while shopping but it's cheap enough so I decided to take a chance. Turns out it's 1.5 inches wide. My other two similar (nylon friction) straps are 1.125" wide. I have no problem with it being 1.5", just thought others might find this information helpful. I just received this belt and it is well made and the buckle holds securely. I have this to hold a pistol and holster and it's strong enough for the purpose. When I tried it on, I was surprised that I only had about 1 1/2 inches more when buttoned up. I wear 42-44 inch pants and thought there was no way this thing could be 52 inches long. I took out my tape measure. and it's 52". I wish they made one of these with a longer length to wear over a coat for tall boys like me.

I recently went on a week long hike and most of my belts were "smarter" so I figured it would be better not to take them with me. I made the choice and was very impressed. It's solid, durable and doesn't lose grip. If I had one criticism at all, it would be that when you close it, be careful to push the buckle towards you, otherwise it kind of pulls and ends up sticking out of you a bit instead of laying on top of your pants. I love this belt! Very well done. I was concerned that the belt might slip back through the buckle when worn very tightly, especially with items on the belt such as knives, multi-tools, etc., but this was not the case. He kept everything fastened all day, and the belt never loosened.
