Like any Dyson product its aesthetics are amazing and the attractive looks are great for our living room. It was securely packaged and arrived in very good condition. Unfortunately, the hint to not lift it with the top assembly wasn't clearly visible until after I'd already done so :(Set up was easy - just insert 2 activated carbon filters, download the Dyson Link app, add Add a device and wifi I use it, sit about 8ft from it, run the fan at maximum speed and can feel the heat it puts out.The fan works just as well in this area.The LCD is very clear and bright and temperature and humidity readings are visible even from that distance. However, most of the information displayed can only be read up close or in the app. I'm not sure I'll ever be monitoring our space for particles or VOCs, but still interesting to look at.Finally, the combination of a heater and fan is a great idea for reducing the number of appliances needed in a room to reduce. Unfortunately, some problems with this device spoil yours. easily lost, small, and doesn't hold securely on the hood (where it attaches with a magnet). Secondly, the heating cannot be switched on using the app. So if you lose the remote, you're really out of luck. The app claims this is due to US law, but that's no consolation. I don't understand why anyone should decide that such an expensive device doesn't require manual operation. Finally, the remote is unforgiving - it only registers commands from a certain angle, which is annoying. Anyone who thought an IR remote was better than an RF remote is most likely not using this fan/heater at home. Dyson's price amplifies the impact of these flaws, which could be forgivable in a cheaper machine.
