Other users have pointed out that you need to remove the plastic sheet to connect them. Hookup is quick and easy once the packaging is removed. The headphones are well made and the packaging is high quality. I really like the sound quality of these headphones. This beats the other pair I have with a higher price tag. They are so loud that I only have to turn the volume up to half the volume where the phone warns me. The only thing I'm not used to is the touch controls. And I don't think the volume can be adjusted through the headphones, which isn't very convenient.
