These snowshoes are amazing. I live in Alaska and I've used them in seriously deep snow, icy packed trails, and uphill terrain. They out perform in all areas. I'm over the weight limit for these but they keep me afloat. The low profile keeps me from tripping over and stepping on them. The traction rails are a real life saver and keep you from sliding sideways down slopes. I've only had to use the heel lift once and it was awkward getting it up and down but will be easier with practice. The BOA system is great and makes getting them on and off very easy. No fumbling with straps with cold fingers.
