My wedding ring is almost a quarter size too big but I didn't want it professionally fitted as the next smaller size doesn't slide easily over my knuckle. It was driving me crazy constantly slipping down my finger until I found these spacers. For such a small adjustment, I only trimmed about a third of the length, and it's perfect! It keeps the ring in place and prevents it from slipping. I like that they are not permanent as my fingers sometimes swell depending on the weather or eating/drinking so I can remove the pad if needed. Unfortunately I lost two of these but I re-ordered them because they really solved my problem!
