At first I didn't know what to think. It was agony distributing it all over the house. You should spread it out in a thick layer and drive it into the carpet with the back of the rake. We left it for 2 days before vacuuming off the excess. It killed most of the adults within a few days, and when the eggs hatched again, it killed them within 2-3 days. We've also had to treat the backyard, dogs, etc., but that's the only thing we've found that works effectively on carpet, house bombing aside.
