We ordered this sun hat for our 5 year old to take to the beach. She has a big head for her age and a size 4-6 was spot on. The inner drawstring kept her on her head even in the waves, and the hat portion was roomy enough to match her ponytail. The dangling cords didn't tighten, but they had snaps on the ends so that when she took them off, at least the hat was hanging off her back. She liked that she could choose which pink to wear on the outside. As it's reversible it's a durable double layer fabric so she said she was hot but with the hot sun and 90's weather this was inevitable. Good selection of hats for travel.
