My 5 year old nephew loved these shoes. His mom thought he was a size 12 but I got him a size 11.5 and they fit with little room to grow. My other sister in law bought my other 4 year old nephew a pair. The very first day he got them we went on an adventure into the woods, after climbing over fallen wet trees and wading through the mud they were muddy! After a thorough rinse with a garden hose they were as good as new. She tossed them in the laundry and air dried them, and you didn't realize they were covered in a thick layer of dirt.
