Review on EXPOWER Flameless Candles - Set of 12 Rechargeable LED Flickering Tea Lights with Frosted Cups, Includes Charging Base - Battery-Free by Johnny Grant

Great alternative to traditional battery operated LED tealights

I've had these for a few months now and use them regularly with Halloween and Christmas decorations designed for tealights. Buying cheap battery operated tea lights was frustrating as replacement batteries cost more than the bulbs themselves and it seemed wasteful to throw everything away. They worked very well. They're a bit thicker than most battery operated LED clock tealights, but not by much. Once charged, they shine as brightly as regular battery powered flashlights and seem to last about as long. The color is beautiful and mimics flickering like most LED candles. Like any battery powered flashlight, they don't appear to be real candles and the upside is that they're easy to recharge. I give them 4 stars instead of 5 for two caveats. First, it comes with a USB-based charging cable, but no wall adapter. Any smartphone socket with a standard USB Type A connector will work with these lights. Except that you can probably just plug them into your computer's USB port. In any case, the buyer is assumed to have the additional parts needed to actually charge the candles. Secondly, there is no indication of when the candles are fully charged and the FAQ seems to indicate that the base will continue to charge the candles even after they have reached their full capacity. This can cause batteries to wear out prematurely if left on the charger for days or weeks. However, these are secondary issues. I put them in the charger before going to bed or going to work and after 8 hours they are fully charged and I unplug them to avoid battery drain. This is a great alternative to traditional battery operated tea lights.
