Review on πŸ’‘ Philips 426049 72W Dimmable Halogen: Enhanced Lighting Control for Perfect Ambiance by Kelvin Understanding

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good lighting for the kitchen

I received these recently. Arrived safely, no broken bulbs. I decided to replace my regular 75 watt GE bulbs with these 72 watt Philips EcoVantage bulbs. The first impression is really good. The light reminds me of other lightbulbs in overall hue, but they seem to add more detail and clarity to my kitchen. I have a dimmer that these bulbs work well with. I think since the color temperature is around 3000, which is a bit whiter than previous bulbs, there is more clarity in my kitchen workspace. They're definitely brighter when I turn them on full blast, but even when I dim them a bit I seem to be able to see things better with these slightly clearer bulbs. It's like there are fewer dark corners when the lights are on. They know there's a reason businesses and hospitals love using these fluorescent tubes, and it's because of their added visibility qualities. Well I think this bulb strikes a good balance of visibility and softness, which is why I'm impressed with the bulb of all things.
