Sell โ€‹โ€‹lamps with 1150 lumens instead of 1490 lumens

I've wanted to switch to LEDs for a long time, but the color rendering, even with the best, is still not as good as incandescent bulbs (but much much better than CFL). So, as a compromise, I opted for halogen bulbs, which use less power than traditional incandescent bulbs for equivalent lighting. Now I've tried Double Life but they are too dim so I have a standard Life which is 300+ lumens brighter and that makes a huge difference, especially in a room where you only have one bulb. So why theโ€ฆ

  • Everything is fine

It's been a long night.

These bulbs are so bright I have to go to bed with my sunglasses on! These bulbs are so bright my dog's IQ went up 20 points! These bulbs are so bright that my deer congregate outside the window! These lights are so bright Ray Charles can see me! Okay, enough of the banal dad jokes. These lightbulbs are great. The one that came in the box didn't work (hence minus 1 star for 1 defective bulb). But then again (no pun intended) they are so bright that I only needed 1 of the 4 I planned to use forโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Saves up to 28% on energy bills

The advertised lamp is not what you get now.

I've been using the Philips Eco-Advantage for maybe eight years or more and it's not bad although the life is a bit shorter. But that's not what they're broadcasting now, even though they advertise it. The first Revain seller sent me CFLs and the second seller sent me 72 watt extended life halogen bulbs which are 20% brighter than advertised bulbs, both of which were returned. The second seller said they are working with Revain to change the site but I don't know what the problem is. Both areโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Dims like an incandescent bulb and goes straight to full brightness

Good lighting for the kitchen

I received these recently. Arrived safely, no broken bulbs. I decided to replace my regular 75 watt GE bulbs with these 72 watt Philips EcoVantage bulbs. The first impression is really good. The light reminds me of other lightbulbs in overall hue, but they seem to add more detail and clarity to my kitchen. I have a dimmer that these bulbs work well with. I think since the color temperature is around 3000, which is a bit whiter than previous bulbs, there is more clarity in my kitchen workspaceโ€ฆ

Pros
  • 72W Philips A19 EcoVantage energy saving household incandescent bulb replaces 100W incandescent bulb

  • Legacy model
