Review on ๐Ÿ’ก Philips 426049 72W Dimmable Halogen: Enhanced Lighting Control for Perfect Ambiance by Michael Custodio

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Sell โ€‹โ€‹lamps with 1150 lumens instead of 1490 lumens

I've wanted to switch to LEDs for a long time, but the color rendering, even with the best, is still not as good as incandescent bulbs (but much much better than CFL). So, as a compromise, I opted for halogen bulbs, which use less power than traditional incandescent bulbs for equivalent lighting. Now I've tried Double Life but they are too dim so I have a standard Life which is 300+ lumens brighter and that makes a huge difference, especially in a room where you only have one bulb. So why the low rating? Because this listing is for 1490 lumen standard life bulbs, but that is not what is for sale. The first order came with 1150 lumen bulbs so I asked them to send a replacement thinking it was a simple mistake. The replacement just arrived and I have my Double Life 1150 lumen dimmers back. If you need 72W/100W Double Life bulbs, you should definitely buy these. This is not at all what I wanted and not what I ordered. Finally, double life isn't really double in my experience, you can get 25-50% more lives. What I can tell you for sure is that you will end up with a much darker room and a strong urge to add extra lights, thereby negating energy and environmental savings.
