I've only had Dr. Martens 1460s in everyday life and Merrell Encores around the house. My last Merrells expired after about two years of daily use, the entire shoe had lost support but the most annoying thing was the heel support kept giving out. I started reading reviews of indoor and outdoor slippers and saw these sloggers. . My wife tried to get me to wear crocs because she liked them, but every croc look I tried felt uncomfortable or ugly. Ordered Sloggers and am just as satisfied as if they were the more expensive Merrells. They are very comfortable. Size 12 is perfect for my size 12 feet long. The width was a bit narrow for my (not yet ready for surgery) big toe, but stretched to perfection within a week of daily wear.
